INTERACTIVE SUNSHINE COAST REAL ESTATE MAPS
FEATURE NEW SLIDE SHOW MODE, ENHANCED USER INTERFACE SECHELT, BC, CANADA — August 15, 2007 — Sunshine Coast real estate professional Gary Little has today released another major upgrade to his unique group of interactive Internet maps which show the locations of hundreds of homes for sale in Gibsons, Roberts Creek, Sechelt, Halfmoon Bay, Pender Harbour, and neighbouring areas. These maps are invaluable tools for quickly finding property for sale in one of the most dynamic real estate markets in British Columbia. The real estate maps, which integrate satellite imagery and street maps, can be used to focus on homes for sale in specific geographic areas of interest and to learn more about a home simply by clicking its icon on the map. Public services, such as schools, post offices, fire halls, and police stations, can also be overlaid on the map. Today's upgrade incorporates a redesigned user interface which makes the maps even easier to work with. Lists of favorite properties can now be created much more quickly — individual properties can be added to or removed from the list with a single mouse click. In addition, detailed information on a property is now presented in a single convenient panel which can be resized for more convenient viewing. Property searches can now be conducted by the minimum number of bedrooms and bathrooms desired in addition to price range and property type. A major enhancement is the integration of a slide show capability which allows information on a favorite set of properties to be presented in sequence. This allows a prospective buyer to review the details on several properties at once with a minimum of effort. "These maps have proven to be extremely popular with buyers and sellers alike since their release a year ago. There is simply no easier way to locate property available for sale on the Sunshine Coast," said Gary Little. "With this upgrade, the maps have become even more useful and will make the task of finding an ideal home much more efficient." The interactive property maps of the Sunshine Coast may be used free of charge and can be viewed at http://map.GaryLittle.ca/. The maps are updated daily from data obtained, in part, from the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver. The mapping software was developed by Gary Little using several advanced tools, notably the mapping infrastructure provided by Google Inc. of Mountain View, Calif. and scripting tools from Apple Inc. of Cupertino, Calif. The maps can be viewed with most modern Web browsers.
